WOW!!! I wanted to do something special for my wife's 40th birthday and I could not have made a better choice then a surprise meal prepared by Chef Jamie. From the moment Chef Jamie arrived until he pulled out from the driveway that evening he was nothing but a complete professional. Not only did he prepare a fabulous meal but he was willing to share his local knowledge and most importantly some of his receipes... The meal was perfect from start to finish. I highly recommend the shrimp and grits and the goat cheese tart. Chef Jamie prepared two different main courses for our group of six. Pan seared salmon was a favorite as was the surf and turf (filet and local tile fish). The salmon and tile fish had a lime corriender butter which was out of this world. Chef Jamie's desserts which included homemade bourbon chocolate pecan pie, apple pie and homemade ice cream were the perfect finish and the leftover desserts provided pleanty of late night snacks later that week. Although we had to leave the OBX early that week due to the mandatory evacuation from Hurricane Irene we left having had the wonderful experience of a perfect 40th birthday meal prepared by Chef Jamie. Without doubt, Chef Jamie will be back for a repeat performance for my wife's 41st birthday next year.

Jamie's meal was the highlight of our vacation! His cooking is fabulous, one dish better than the next. The shrimp and grits and tuna with old bay chip appetizers were group favorites! Jamie is an absolute professional, managing the timing of the meal perfectly. The kids enjoyed the homemade chicken fingers (and the adults gobbled the leftovers for lunch the next day). The filets were cooked perfectly for each adult, and the gorgonzola grean beans....mmmm!! Highly recommend the blueberry skillet pie, served with homemade ice cream....divine! Jamie and Tara were both professional and fun!! They left the kitchen cleaner than when they arrived...We will book early for next year for sure!!!

We experienced two excellent, worry-free dinners thanks to Jamie! He and his assistant did an amazing job preparing meals for 6 kids (2 extra picky) and 11 adults during our stay near Corolla, NC. His timing between the kid meal, the appetizers, and the adult meal was perfect, and everything tasted delicious. Make sure to ask for his shrimp and grits dish... great stuff!!

Having Jamie cook for our family of 16 was a fantastic experience. All the food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. We are still talking about the Shrimp and Grits, Crabcakes and the Chocolate Bourbon Pecan Pie. The 4 youngest were also very impressed with his chicken fingers and mac and cheese. Jamie is delightful to work with. Our evening was perfect! If you are looking for a personal chef, look no further!

From the kids meal to the adult appetizers, entrees and desserts, everything was delicious. Jamie cooked for our group of 6 kids and 6 adults on August 12th and it was by far the best meal we have enjoyed while vacationing in the Outer Banks! We started with the shrimp & grits and the wrapped scallop appetizers and moved to perfectly cooked filet and fish with sauteed vegetables and mashed potatoes and followed it all up with the cheescake and what my brother-in-law is referring to as the "best dessert ever", chocolate chip pecan pie. All of this made for a perfect meal and we are already looking forward to booking him again for next summer!!! Thank you Chef Jamie!! Eric, Kim, Nicholas & Jordan Cheshire

Thank you so much for the wonderful meal you prepared and served to my husband and I and our family on our 50th Wedding Anniversary. It was an outstanding gourmet meal and made our celebration one to remember.

Jamie cooked for us during our recent first time visit to the OBX. He came in while we were at the beach. We were welcomed home to the amazing aroma of our meals being prepared! We had the tomato stacks and the prosciutto wrapped scallops, which were out of this world. We then moved on to the crab cake dinner as well as the filet mignon (cooked perfectly to each persons specifications), with gorgonzola green beans and garlic mashed. For dessert, we finished with the key lime pie and strawberry shortcake. Fabulous. He cleaned up the kitchen when he was finished as if he wasn't even there. We highly recommend Jamie and can't wait for him to cook for us again!

Chef Jamie served us the best dinner of our vacation. The Smak Yo Mama Fried Chicken is the best, and the shrimp was to die for. He was so professional and perfect. I recommend his service to any and everyone!!!!!!

First and foremost, the food was tremendous. Tomato stacks, seared tuna, crab cakes, grilled all-natural ribeye, fresh grouper, apple pie, chocolate decadence, spinach risotto, grilled veggies, mashed potatoes...this was a "wow" meal, custom created for our group of 17. Jamie even made pasta and homemade chicken tenders for the 5 youngsters in our group. But I must say that a great part of what really made our experience with Chef Jamie so pleasurable was his friendly, flexible, easy to work with and very professional approach (the same goes for Lindsey, who was our server for the evening). Coming up with a menu that will satisfy the tastes and needs of 5 couples requires patience, creativity and flexibility and Jamie has those in abundance. Arriving about 4 hours before the meal, Jamie created this wonderful dining experience for my family, and then quickly and quietly cleaned up and returned the kitchen to its original condition. We wouldn't change a thing. This guy is no flake and no primadonna - he just puts on a great dinner! Highly recommended. THE LICHTENSTEIN FAMILY, July 2010

I was very impressed with the meal Jamie prepared for us on June 17th at Seas the Moment. To prepare a meal like that for 9 adults in an unfamiliar kitchen is not easy. Everything was perfect in every way. I have been in the foodservice industry for 34 years, now the Dietary Director / Chef for Hospice of Huntington WV and I must say "My hats off to you Jamie"

Once again, Jamie came through with high-flying colors! The meal that he created for our 30th wedding anniversary was exquisite! And no one had to lift a finger...just sit back and be pampered. We highly, highly recommend Cafe 111 and our personal chef Jamie!

I was so impressed with Jamie's wonderful dinner for our family reunion last summer, that we will have him back again this summer. He created a gourmet meal for 25, and I didn't lift a finger! He brought all the fresh ingredients to our rental house to prepare his delicious sashimi, roma tomato stacks, along with locally caught fish prepared with a sauce that showcased the delicate flavors of the fish. Jamie also prepared filet mignon for the land lubbers in the group. As we were all marveling over the delicious meal we had just consumed, Jamie brought out dessert! I am a firm believer that dessert has to be chocolate, so even though I thought his version of Mom's apple pie was very yummy, his chocolate chip pecan pie was to die for! (and yes, I tried both pies) As I enjoyed being with the whole family for the evening, Jamie and crew cleaned up the kitchen and left it sparkling. This was truly a no-stress meal. No driving in traffic, waiting in line for a table for 25, waiting for our dinners to come, etc. Chef Jamie prepared a gourmet meal that fit perfectly with the beauty and relaxation of the outer banks!
